As part of Intercultural Week (opens in a new tab), a wide variety of events will take place from September 27 to October 4, 2026.
The International Youth Program is participating with a special writing project:
Sunday, September 27, 2:00–6:00 p.m.:
Young people ages 12 and up (maximum age 21) are invited to a poetry slam workshop—featuring creative writing and inspiration from a theater and writing educator.
Under the theme “For This,” participants can write texts in their own personal “wish” or “feel-good” language. Reciting in front of the group is optional; those who wish to do so will receive tips on professional stage presence and public speaking. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The event will take place at the Hamberg Children’s and Youth Center (KJT) (café on the upper floor, Jahnstraße 13, 38259 Salzgitter-Bad) from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is free of charge. Please register (by September 21) by emailing tamara.hagenstadt.salzgitterde or calling 05341/839 4687.
