My student ticket is gone, what should I do?
If your student ticket is lost, report the loss immediately to the school office to obtain a temporary certificate (usually valid for 14 days) and apply for a replacement ticket there. The reissue is subject to a charge.
I don't want to go to school anymore
Talk to your parents, other relatives and/or friends about your difficulties. Confide in someone in any case! There are also people at school that you can talk to, e.g. the counselor or liaison teacher and the school social worker. You can get in touch with them via your school's office.
You can have confidential discussions there and expect help from a professionally trained person.
By law, pupils are required to attend school for 12 years and must attend a mainstream school for 9 of those years. If you no longer want to go to school at all, you should talk to someone you trust about it.
You can also get help from the counseling service for young people in the city of Salzgitter.

What is an FSJ or BFD and is it worthwhile?
A Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and the Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD) offer you the opportunity to get involved in society after school or during an orientation phase. In both services, you usually work for a year in a social, cultural or ecological institution and receive monthly pocket money as well as educational support in the form of seminar days.
Where can I find support to improve at school?
If you want to get better at school, the first thing you can do is find out whether there are any support services available at your school. If you need a little help with certain subjects, you can ask around to see if friends, classmates or students from higher years can go through homework or learning material with you.
Sometimes there are also older pupils or students, for example, who offer tutoring. Look for notices on the school notice board, for example. You may also be able to do this online. If necessary, just ask a nice person at your school.
On the internet, you can quickly find providers in your area who specialize in this commercially. If you need financial support, they will definitely be able to advise you.
You can often get more low-threshold support at children's and youth clubs, mother's centers or community centers. You can simply ask there.
Where can I prepare for exams?
If you can't study well at home, you have various options for preparing for exams in other places. Of course, free periods at school are a good place to study for exams - possibly with like-minded people.
Outside of school hours, libraries are particularly suitable because everyone should be quiet there. The atmosphere is good for studying. And if necessary, you can research further knowledge there.
As a rule, you can also ask at the children's and youth club, the neighborhood meeting place or the mothers' center if there is a room available where you can study. There is usually also free Wi-Fi for your research on site.
